Kimmo Olavi Kaivanto (May 25, 1932, Tampere - April 20, 2012, Helsinki) was a Finnish painter, graphic artist and sculptor. 

He studied at the School of Art and Design in 1953–1954.

The most well-known public works of Kaivanto are the sculpture Oodi for 60,000 lakes from 1972,

 the Tori painting from 1976, and the sculptures Silver Bridges and Nereid from 1985.

Kaivanto was the Artist of the Year in 1982. He received the Pro Finlandia Medal in 1972. 

The title of Professor Kimmo Kaivanto was awarded in 1995.
