Toivo Jaatinen (August 1, 1926, Sortavala rural municipality - November 14, 2017 Nurmijärvi) was a Finnish sculptor who was best known for his medals.

Jaatinen studied fine arts at the Central School of Art and Design in Helsinki and at the Academy of Fine Arts. 

 After that he designed several medals and won four times the medal competition of the Finnish Medal of the Medals (1965, 1967, 1973 and 1994).

Kilta also chose the work of Jaatinen - Pisanello as the Finnish medal of all time.


In addition, Jaatinen served as an art teacher at the State Dental Technology School, as a teacher at the Helsinki University of Technology and at the Finnish Academy of Fine Arts. In 2002 he was awarded the Pro Finlandia Medal and the J. Sanford Saltus Prize of the American Numismatic Society.
